Hi, I’m Shar — a lifelong animal lover, certified dog trainer, and devoted caregiver.

My journey with animals is one of love, healing, and connection.

My Story

I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember — their honesty, their joy, their unconditional love. For over 16 years, I’ve cared for pets with patience, compassion, and respect, treating every animal as if they were my own.

I joined Rover less than a year ago as a way to navigate the grief of losing my best friend of 14 years — my sweet boy, Bear. While I’m not yet ready to adopt again, I missed the companionship and love that animals bring into daily life. Becoming a pet sitter through Rover has been deeply healing — reconnecting me with the energy, playfulness, and comfort that only animals can offer.

While I’ve been pet sitting on and off for years, this consistent connection with animals inspired me to take things further and become a certified dog trainer. I’ve always connected with animals more easily than with people — they have a way of bringing out the truest parts of who we are.

Every pet I meet reminds me of the love Bear gave me, and I honor that bond by offering the same care, safety, and affection to others’ pets.

Who I am

I’m a movement educator, yoga instructor, running coach, and certified dog trainer — but at heart, I’m simply someone who loves animals deeply. My background in mindfulness and movement shapes the calm, grounded approach I bring to pet care.

When I’m not walking dogs or teaching yoga, you’ll likely find me outside exploring trails, journaling with a cup of tea, or spending quiet moments with the animals I care for.
